Corie has played piano since she was six years old and ragtime since age ten.   She has studied under Donald Ryan and has had Master Classes with Glenn Jenks, Morten Gunnar Larsen, Jeff Barnhart and Brian Holland.

Corie played in open venues at The Scott Joplin Ragtime Festival in 2003 and was a featured performer in 2006 and 2007.   She won first place in The Carthage Ragtime Festival Junior contest in 2004 and 2005, also performing in the Deluxe Concert both years.   In 2006 Corie was awarded the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts award for Popular Piano, a category including ragtime, stride and boogie woogie.   She presented a ragtime program in 2006 at the OK Mozart Festival in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Corie is currently a double performance major in piano and violin at Oklahoma City University.
